I just filled the car up for € 1.41/Liter ($ 7.38/Gallon) and feel like I fucking stole it. Last time it was this cheap must have been over 1 or 2 years ago.

Hahaha, we just dipped below $3.00 a gallon. It still feels like too much. But at the end of the day I can afford to run my car, so I don't complain.

It does when you realize Klaus has Unrestricted Autobahns and you don't.

If I had to pay that, I guess I'd be finding a new primary job...

Haven't dipped to that level from where I am at ($3.29 for regular blend), but I'm stoked that it's cheaper nowadays. So yeah, no complaints here.

True, although you don't need unlimited speed limits on roads like Duffy Lake. Can have plenty of fun at posted speed! http://goo.gl/maps/tkp3U

That's a bargain! At the cheapest gas stations here it's about €1.60 a liter, at expensive highway ones it's above €1.75 a liter. Luckily I fill up on €0.65 a liter LPG, but that's besides the point I guess.

$3.43 in my town. I mentally freaked out when I was in Houston last month and saw $2.92 in bright red letters.

Here in Bulgaria it is 1.30 Euro/Liter($ 6.80/Gallon) and for me this is daylight robbery. It hasn't changed for over 6 months though and before that was around you around 1.36 Euro/Liter and I wanted to kill myself.

When I look at invoices for fuel from the 2000 in the firm I work at, I see totally mindblowing prices like 0.60 Euro cents/Liter for benzin(yeah I am using that word) and 0.50 Euro cents for diesel. Here we have a saying: The only thing we want is the benzin and the beer with the prices of the past.

This actually reminded me, a buddy of mine moved to Las Vegas at the tail end of summer. The first thing he posted in his FB? A picture of the gas prices there (it was $2.87 if I'm not mistaken). I was jelly.

I knew that it would be lower than home, too (work in fuel industry and Houston is an origin for pipelines) but it still just blew my mind.

Yeah, I know! Had to wait in line. So I wasn't the only one using this opportunity. Fuel prices have been in decline recently, but with the holidays around the corner, I doubt it'll get cheaper than that.

At least stations are now required to post their current prices online in real-time (a law that says so came into effect 2 months ago), so there are more and more sites and apps that let you comparison shop without physically driving around.

When I got my license in the mid-90s, fuel was around DM 1,50 = € 0,75. I always said that I would be willing to pay DM 2 per liter if that meant significantly cheaper public transport. I was young and stupid.

BTW, does the Peugeot use more or lose power when running on LPG?

It's said the LPG system I've got doesn't impact performance in any way. I rarely drive it on gasoline for obvious reasons, but I haven't noticed a difference in performance. It does consume more LPG per km than it would gasoline though, that's inherent to the fuel. I believe about 15-20% more.

Please clarify what standard of measuring your using on your post. An America gallon does not equal a European gallon I believe.

If im wrong I apologize.

I was using the US gallon, not the imperial (UK) gallon, and today's exchange rates.
